Vinamilk, Vietnam’s leading dairy brand, now exports to nearly 60 countries and territories, with cumulative export revenues exceeding USD 3 billion. This success is rooted not only in product quality but in a comprehensive, long-term sustainable development strategy.
From its early international expansion, Vinamilk recognised that “sustainability” would become a non-negotiable standard in global trade. The company committed to running two parallel transformations: digital transformation and green transformation.
On the digital front, Vinamilk has adopted advanced production management systems, automated processes across factories and farms, digitised warehouse operations, and run real-time logistics based on live data. These innovations have boosted productivity, reduced costs, and minimised waste.
On the green front, Vinamilk has developed Green Farm models certified to Global GAP standards, integrated solar and biogas energy systems, and reduced reliance on fossil fuels. Product packaging has been replaced with eco-friendly, fully biodegradable materials.
The company has also deployed a comprehensive ESG and GHG emissions data management system, capturing 173 real-time data points from all subsidiaries. This allows for accurate measurement, in-depth analysis, and transparent planning of emissions reduction, in alignment with global standards such as ISO 14064 and PAS2060.
Complementing these initiatives is a rigorously audited Sustainability Report, reinforcing trust with investors, partners, and consumers. Vinamilk also proactively aligns with emerging market requirements such as the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and Farm to Fork strategy, ensuring its products meet both quality and environmental performance criteria.
Vinamilk’s journey demonstrates that sustainability is not a cost, but a strategic investment that expands markets, elevates brand value, and strengthens long-term competitiveness. It’s a powerful blueprint for any Vietnamese business aiming for global reach.
